Happy Spring! We think it’s Spring, although the few inches of snow and slush we got last Saturday made us question that idea.
We’ve participated in a couple public-facing events in the last month that we’d like to tell you about. First, Bela appeared at a Backyard Oasis party celebrating fifty podcasts they’d done, and her picture appeared in an article covering the event in the Greenfield Recorder:
You may remember that we posted an earlier blog about the podcast we did with Denise Schwartz, with a link to the podcast embedded in the blog.
Second, Bela and Stephen were invited to appear at an Indie Author Day at the Tufts Library in Weymouth, Massachusetts.
Authors were set up at tables in a room off the main library stacks:
The program was extensive:
We met other interesting authors, made connections, and exchanged info. Unfortunately, there weren’t too many readers or potential book buyers! Still, a fun day, especially since that evening we had dinner in Boston with daughter Sophia, brother Athan in from California, cousin Chris Billias and his wife Gayle, and old friends John Harrison and Leslie Chapman.
In other news, Bela and Stephen are still tweaking our fantasy novel and sending query letters to literary agents. No luck yet, but “all it takes is one.”
Soon to come . . . Stephen is at work on a new, exciting, and quite different project. We’ll share more about that next time.
Wishing you all the best of Spring holidays. May they be full of togetherness, good food and delight.
