“Congratulations! We are pleased to inform you that you have been selected to participate in the Springfield City Library Author Fair at Central Library on Saturday, April 27, 2024.”

We brought our posters and signs, we brought our books, we took our place in the rotunda, “the library’s grand center court.” We met other local authors and sold enough books to take ourselves out to dinner. It was a wonderful day.

Our local library is a lifeline for us. Through the larger network our little library is part of, we can explore and experience books and authors far and wide.
